The story of Pride & Prejudice with music by Carl Davis – 6pm (duration 1½ hours)
Specially created for bicentenary year, this is an intimate performance of Austen’s most famous work. The story of the romance between Elizabeth and Darcy is told in much the same way as Jane first read it aloud to her family. Weaving around the words is Carl Davis’ magical score from the much-loved BBC 1995 production. The music, specially adapted by Mr Davis, is performed by acclaimed musicians Ashley Wass on piano and violinist Matthew Trusler with adapted text by Gill Hornby.
