Welcome to Bath Bachfest 2024

Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 February

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 13th Bath Bachfest, our annual celebration of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and his contemporaries set against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most beautiful and welcoming cities.

The festival was founded in 2012 as a complement to Bath Mozartfest and successor to the long-established Bath Bach Festival founded by Cuthbert Bates and later directed by his daughter, Elizabeth Bates, our Patron.

My colleagues and I look forward to seeing you at Bath Bachfest and sharing an up-lifting and entertaining mid-winter musical interlude.
