American Tunes

CANCELLED - Bath Choral Society are very sorry to advise that we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our American Tunes concert on Saturday 2 July at St Swithin’s Church. Unfortunately Covid has yet again disrupted our plans.

For their summer concert Bath Choral Society will present a selection of music from American composers to create a joyful and stimulating entertainment.  The pieces will include Charles Ives’ ‘Crossing the Bar’, Copland’s ‘Lark’, Barber’s ‘Agnus Dei’, Morten Lauridsen’s ‘Sure on this Shining Night’ and ‘Seal Lullaby’ by Eric Whitacre.  There will be spirituals arranged by Moses Hogan and rousing selections from West Side Story. 

The audience is invited to come along from 5.30pm and bring a picnic and drinks to enjoy in the garden of St Swithin’s.
