BFM16 Van Baerle Trio II

Dedicated to the Archduke Rudolph of Austria, Beethoven’s great piano trio is one of the nobles of his chamber works.  Haydn’s piano trios are some of his most sparkling works, rivalling the string quartets for invention and sparkle.  Brahms’s late C minor trio has all the rich, romantic expression to be expected from a late masterpiece by perhaps the greatest composer of the 19th century.
