Come & Sing with Bob Chilcott

From chorister to King’s College Choir Cambridge, to King’s Singers, to internationally recognised composer and conductor, Bob Chilcott is one of the UK’s most popular living musical creators and leaders. His works range from sacred requiems and masses through to jazz-influenced pieces and lighter popular repertoire such as Red Boots On, appealing to an exceptionally wide audience.  

Singers of all backgrounds are warmly invited to spend a joyful day exploring Bob’s vibrant choral music in the beautiful City of Wells. Whether you are an experienced performer or simply love to sing, this is a rare opportunity to learn directly from one of today’s leading choral voices and to share an uplifting musical experience in the inspiring setting of Wells Cathedral.

*The day will conclude with a performance of the pieces rehearsed at approximately 15.00, which friends and Cathedral visitors are welcome to enjoy on payment of the standard Cathedral entrance fee.

Scores will be provided on the day as part of the ticket price, with the option to purchase. The day’s music will focus on:

• Songs and Cries of London Town 

WCOS will be performing these, along with Circle Song, in a concert celebrating the music of Bob Chilcott in Wells Cathedral on 14 November.
