A Day of Music, Celebration and Magical Gardens at Belcombe Court

Join us for a unique and rare opportunity to spend an afternoon in the private grounds of Belcombe Court, winner of the Historic Houses Garden of the Year Award (Judges’ Choice 2024).

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we return to Belcombe Court, our home for five memorable seasons, as the owners open the grounds of their spectacular estate, rarely open to the public, for a special gathering of music, gardens, and celebration. The exquisite landscaped gardens at Belcombe are registered by English Heritage as being of special historic interest, blending restored eighteenth-century features with sensitive contemporary additions.

The four-acre garden unfolds in a series of distinct spaces around the spectacular Georgian house, part of which was designed in 1734 by John Wood the Elder. Discover historic features including the grotto, rotunda, and romantic ‘temple’, alongside ornamental ponds, sculpted topiary, the walled garden, and sweeping views across the valley. This is a rare opportunity to explore an extraordinary setting at your own pace.

Relax on the lawns with afternoon tea from the café or a picnic of your own, enjoy an ice cream and other savouries. Wander the paths and you may find a melody drifting across the lawn, a solo voice rising from a hidden corner. Throughout the afternoon, musical interludes will appear and unfold as you explore, inviting you to pause, listen and discover artists and performances in the most unexpected of settings.
