The Echoing Air and Music for Awhile return to Bruton for a third time to present their intimate chamber performance of Handel’s great work, ‘Messiah’.

The Echoing Air, a vocal ensemble of eight singers, will sing both the choruses and solos, accompanied by the instrumental ensemble Music for Awhile, a quartet of baroque string players, a harpsichordist and a trumpeter. The ensemble will be led by internationally renowned violinist Maggie Faultless.

Please note that this is an abridged version of the piece with significant cuts.

Refreshments will be available beforehand and during the performance.

There will be a retiring collection for St Mary's Church.

To avoid long queues, please have your ticket downloaded and open on your phone or printed out.

The seating is unreserved, in pews, so you may wish to bring a cushion. The heating will be on but please dress to be warm and comfortable. Please note there are currently no facilities in the church. The nearest toilet is on the high street At the Chapel.
