MF12 Alina Ibragimova and Samson Tsoy

With her reputation as a world-class violinist, Alina Ibragimova has long been a Mozartfest favourite. In this concert she is joined for the first time in Bath by
pianist Samson Tsoy.

This exceptional young pianist plays as both soloist and chamber musician and earned plaudits for his Wigmore Hall recitals. Together Alina and Samson will play two Mozart works including the Variations known as ‘Helas, j’ai perdu mon amant’ and Janáček’s folk-inflected only Violin Sonata, before concluding with Brahms’ wonderfully romantic Violin Sonata No 1, the graceful and tender Rain Sonata.
