MF13 The Cardinall’s Musick
A celebration of Felix Mendelssohn
Assembly Rooms
MENUThe Cardinall’s Musick is a UK-based vocal ensemble best known for its celebrated performance of early and contemporary music, but this concert moves into the Romantic era for a celebration of Felix Mendelssohn. It will offer a rare opportunity to enjoy the richness of his sacred output for both accompanied and unaccompanied choir.
‘There are some wonderful pieces which don’t get out enough’ says Andrew Carwood of this glorious music. Interspersing these are four of Mendelssohn’s short, lyrical, Songs Without Words plus two popular Brahms Intermezzi for solo piano played by Simon Crawford-Phillips. Altogether an unmissable concert.
