The ECO is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading chamber orchestras, with a long and illustrious history. This concert will bring the Mozartfest to a splendid close with a programme of Grieg, Mozart, and Schubert. Mozart’s Concerto for flute and harp is one of the most popular concertos in the repertoire and the composer’s only work for the harp, and Schubert’s youthful 5th Symphony pays its own tribute to the great man “As from afar the magic notes of Mozart’s music still gently haunt me…”.
