MF7 Amatis Trio

MENUTruly international, the Amatis Trio was founded in Amsterdam in 2014 and is now based in Salzburg. Its players hail from Germany, Britain and Romania and they have performed in 43 countries worldwide.
They begin their Bath performance with Mozart’s Piano Trio in C major K 548, then perform a hauntingly beautiful late Romantic work by Josef Suk, the Czech composer who was Dvořák’s protégé and married his daughter. Concluding with Mendelssohn’s beloved Piano Trio No 1 in D minor which Robert Schumann proclaimed as ‘the master trio of the age’.
