Sándor Végh Memorial Concerts 2022
IMS Prussia Cove is a charitable organisation dedicated to music-making at the highest level, fostering new generations of emerging artists and offering inspiration to world-class performers. Our biannual seminars bring musicians from across the world to study, rehearse and perform together in a remote part of Cornwall. Regular public concerts bring our work to audiences in Cornwall and across the UK, while outreach projects engage and inspire young people and new audiences in the South West of England.

Founded in 1972, IMS Prussia Cove has established a reputation as one of the most respected institutions in classical music and continues to flourish under the Artistic Direction of renowned cellist Steven Isserlis. Our alumni includes international soloists, leaders of the world’s great orchestras and renowned chamber musicians, many of whom consider their time at IMS Prussia Cove a major influence on their musical development. As we enter our 50th anniversary, the organisation continues to deliver ambitious artistic work, enriching cultural life in the UK and beyond.

Every year, a group of musicians taught by our founder – the great Hungarian violinist Sándor Végh – come together to rehearse and perform in his memory.
