Discussing with DIVA magazine, what queer journalism makes possible & why it still matters

Join Nic Crosara, Deputy Editor of DIVA, for a conversation about queer journalism, representation and the role of media in shaping how we see ourselves and each other. For over 30 years, DIVA has created space for LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people to see their lives, stories and communities reflected, whilst championing visibility, advocacy and change.

Chaired by writer and lecturer Lucy Sweetman, this conversation will explore why queer journalism still matters, what it means to have spaces where our stories are told on our own terms, and what publications like DIVA continue to offer in a rapidly changing media landscape.

Expect discussion around the power of queer media, the importance of representation, and what the future might look like for queer publishing and storytelling.

The event will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of DIVA magazine will be available.
