Together we Stand
A concert of Ukrainian music and visual art
Bath Abbey
MENUA concert of Ukrainian music and visual art to mark the 3rd anniversary of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine
The concert is organized by the charitable association The Friends of Oleksandriya.
All profits will be used to provide the Ukrainian City of Oleksandriya with needed aid, for example, we are currently collecting for a school bus.
This fantastic concert will feature Ukrainian music in a fantasy style created for this very event by the young extremely talented composer Mariia Yaremak from Ukraine. The beautiful music will be performed by a multitude of local musicians:
Opening with the children's choir Voices for Life who will sing in Ukrainian.
Followed by The Argyle String Orchestra together with Mariia Yaremak whose enchanting piano playing one can never forget.
The beautiful voice of our very own Ukrainian star Nicole Medin.
This time, we want to broaden your horizon and introduce the rich world of Ukrainian visual art. During the concert, Alexandra Dikaia — a talented Ukrainian illustrator, writer, and concept artist — will create a unique painting live. After the concert, this artwork will be auctioned to raise funds for the city of Oleksandriya, Ukraine.
You will also be treated to extracts from refugee literature that will offer an insight into the longings and hopes of the Ukrainian people who were forced to leave their country looking for safety.
