Katrine Reimers will conduct the Verdi Requiem in her first concert as Bath Choral Society’s Music Director.
From its quiet beginning, the piece’s unforgettable journey features some of the best-known moments in classical music. Bristol Ensemble will bring Verdi’s thrilling orchestration to life, carrying us through terrifying trumpet calls, Abbey-shaking choruses such as the ‘Dies Irae,’ heart-rending solos, and the plaintive and moving calmness of the ‘Lacrymosa.’
Soloists will be Soprano: Katherine Broderick Alto: Claudia Huckle Tenor: Andrés Presno Bass: Morgan Pearse.
