A Winter Concert
Bath Spa Music Department will visit St Stephen's Church for the first time with their annual winter concert.
The orchestra(under the direction of Jeffrey D. Boehm) will be performing Tchaikovsky’s ‘Nutcracker Suite’. The choir (under the direction of Richard Harker) will feature several pieces including Five Hebrew Love Songs by Eric Whitacre and ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ by Benjamin Britten, and the light-hearted Nutcracker Jingles by James Pierpont.
The Orchestra and Choir, a company totalling nearly 50 players and singers will perform this seasonal repertoire as well as a mixture of orchestral and choral classics in this annual concert by music students of Bath Spa University.
St Stephen's is one of Bath's historic churches and at night can be seen illuminated on the Bath skyline.
History of St Stephen's can be found here
When lit, it is visible from all over the city, and it has become a local talking point.
