WT1 Walking Tour: Bath Blitz - A story of destruction and rebuilding

April 2022 marks the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Bath during The Second World War. During the Bath Blitz, over three nights more than 400 people died, many more were injured. Thousands of homes and historic buildings were damaged or destroyed.

Bath Walking Tours, in this new tour, gives us an opportunity to understand more about the Bath Blitz. Find out why the Georgian city was identified as a target by the Luftwaffe. Hear about the aftermath, the restored buildings, bomb craters and shrapnel damage, the lost churches, air raid shelters and the child evacuees.
