Enlightenment by Shelagh Stephenson

Lia and Nick anxiously await news of their son Adam who has not been heard from since a terrorist bomb in the Far East where he has been travelling. Desperate and disorientated by her son’s disappearance and not able to face the reality that he could be dead, Lia seeks help from an unconvincing psychic and is reluctant when a pushy TV producer proposes a film about missing persons.

This mystery can puzzle and tease your brain. Is Adam alive? If so, why hasn’t he made contact? Then, out of the blue they hear of a backpacker who has lost his memory in a Thai hospital……
Enlightenment is a powerful study of parental grief and hope amidst uncertainty.

This mystery thriller is a complete contrast to Platform 8’s previous sell out production ‘Season’s Greetings’.
