David Bates and his ever-popular period instrument ensemble, La Nuova Musica, present an appealing all-Mozart programme which traces the composer’s symphonic development from the Baroque-inspired 1st Symphony to the Rococo 29th, via his 3rd Violin Concerto and Horn Concerto No 4. Soloists here are the renowned violinist Rachel Podger and fine French horn player Alec Frank-Gemmill.
This concert will be presented from the stage by writer Sir Nicholas Kenyon, and will include a conversation with David Bates, Rachel Podger & Alec Frank-Gemmill after the concert.
