Dvořák Piano Quintet in A major Op 81

Beloved of Bath audiences and critics alike and described by The Daily Telegraph as “Britain’s most revered chamber group”, we are delighted to welcome the Nash Ensemble again with a joyful and uplifting programme, opening with Mozart’s mellow and divertimenti-like first Viola Quintet in B flat major, written when he was just seventeen. This is followed by Tchaikovsky’s jewel-like sextet Souvenir de Florence, a tribute to the city he so obviously adored, and then Dvořák’s light-hearted and spirited Piano Quintet in A major.
