At the Michael Tippet Centre in the beautiful grounds of Newton Park, The Octet Summer Concert promises to begin your summer in style with a selection of choral music and features piano duets from Bath Spa University music students. On this warm summer’s evening The Octet will be performing Rutter’s Requiem under the baton of Daniel Robert Cushing accompanied by its own chamber ensemble. As one of Rutter’s finest works, the Requiem adapts and presents parts of the Latin Mass alongside contrasting movements that reflect the composer’s experience of the Anglican Tradition.
