Across the Pond

We celebrate the ‘special relationship’ as we anticipate the festivities for 4th July-American Independence Day. Music is inspired by the vibrant and unique cultural bond between United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Featuring composers such as Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copeland and Moses Hogan, whilst celebrating the cross cultural influences on the creativity of others such as Benjamin Britten. Also includes spirituals and jazz style rhythms from composers Moses Hogan and Ned Rorem.
