Bath Phil & Plinio Fernandes

Plinio Fernandes performs Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto with Bath Phil.

The Forum

A summery evening of sumptuous orchestral music refracting dazzling seasonal colours, dawn choruses, heat haze and warm languid evenings. Brilliant, young Brazilian guitarist Plinio Fernandes joins Bath Philharmonia to perform Rodrigo’s loving evocation of Spain and its people in his iconic Guitar Concerto – the Concierto de Aranjuez. Works by living composers are introduced including the beautiful sound worlds of British composers Rebecca Dale and Jocelyn Pook.
