Latry Improvisations
We open Bath Bachfest 2025 with something new: an additional short concert of organ music played on Bath Abbey’s magnificent Klais organ by one of the world’s most distinguished organists, Olivier Latry. Named titular organist at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris aged just 23, Latry is a French organist, improviser, composer and teacher, renowned as an accomplished, thoughtful and adventurous musician. In his Bath debut he will present a programme of music by J S Bach, the French composers Marchand, Couperin and de Grigny, and concluding with his own improvisations.
