Motets for a Summer Evening

Bruckner, Brahms and Rheinberger are the core of Bath Choral Society’s summer concert of motets from the Romantic period of German music. The programme will offer a rich exploration of themes both religious and worldly including ‘Os Justi’, ‘Abendlied’ and Rheinberger’s ‘Hymnen’.  The choral music will include pieces by Mendelssohn, Cornelius and Reger interspersed with reflective Lieder from the same period performed by baritone Philip Smith.
