Simon Jenkins is a journalist and writer widely known for his interest in and passion for historic buildings, churches, cathedrals and stately homes. In his latest book, A Short History of British Architecture: From Stonehenge to the Shard, he tells the gripping story of why Britain looks the way it does and reveals the ongoing struggles between classical, gothic and modern architectural styles.
