An immersive workshop on building magic from the ground up. Explore how to spark a magical concept and  bring it to life on the page. Learn to weave magic into your world and character from the first line, with practical techniques for showing how your protagonist experiences the mystical and magical around them. Guiding you through concept, character and context, this workshop is beneficial to all writers, regardless of experience.

Natasha Pulley was born in Cambridge and now lives in Bristol. She read English Literature at Oxford before doing an MA in Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia. In 2013 she went to Japan on a scholarship from the Daiwa Anglo Japanese Foundation. She lived in Tokyo for a year and a half, learning Japanese and researching her first book, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street. She spent several months in Peru courtesy of a travel grant from the Society of Authors, chasing llamas and researching The Bedlam Stacks, and more recently, spent some time in Shanghai studying Mandarin for The Mars House
