Join award-winning author Elle McNicoll and World Book Day contributor Lizzie Huxley-Jones as they tell you all about their new books: Like a Curse and Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend. Both books bring together edge of your seat adventure, celtic mythology and magic, told with a cast of joyfully inclusive characters. Can the heroes save the worlds they love? Can they learn to harness their powers in time? Find out at this magical event! 

About the Author:

Elle McNicoll is an award-winning Scottish children’s author. Her debut novel, A Kind of Spark, won the Blue Peter Book Award and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and was adapted for television, appearing on CBBC in spring 2023. She is an advocate for better representation of neurodiversity in publishing and in 2022 founded The Adrien Prize, to recognise children’s fiction that explores the disability experience. She lives in London.

Lizzie Huxley-Jones (they/them) is an autistic author and editor based in London. They are the author of the queer holiday rom-com Make You Mine This Christmas and the middle grade fantasy series Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend. They are the editor of Stim: an autistic anthology. They write joyful stories that centre queerness and disability, and can be found @littlehux on Twitter & Instagram.
