Eating healthily is easy right? Just make sure you have your 5-a-day (or is it eight now?), eat plenty of fibre (but how much do I actually need?), cut down on meat (but which types and by how much?), eat more fish (but only sustainable varieties, right?), ensure you are getting all the necessary vitamins and minerals, oh! and don't forget pre and probiotics for gut health. Maybe it's not so easy after all ...
In this special session Sam Rice, the Daily Telegraph's nutrition expert, will demystify and simplify nutrition. She will explain what you really need from your food, bust some myths and answer questions like
- Should I take supplements?
- Do I need to cut certain things out of my diet, like sugar?
- Where might my diet be falling short?
- What practical tweaks can I make to improve my overall nutrition?
There will also be a Q&A at the end of the session so please come ready with all your food and nutrition dilemmas.
Herbal tea on arrival and a copy of Sam's latest book Supercharge Your Diet: Ten Easy Ways to Get Everything You Need From Your Food is included in the ticket price, and there's the option to stay on for lunch and quiz Sam a bit more over a delicious bento box.
Lunch will run from 12.30pm - 1.30pm
