An evening of sublime baroque instrumental music performed by the Convivio ensemble with some of the top young period instrument players in the UK. Featuring the first of Handel’s works to be performed in England, turned into incidental music for Ben Jonson’s Alchemist in 1710, the concert also features Concertos and Sinfonias by his contemporaries Vivaldi, Telemann, Hasse and Fasch.
