Bach - Christmas Oratorio

For nearly three hundred years J. S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio has joyously proclaimed the Christmas story. Originally written for a series of church services over the Christmas period, the work has since become a much-loved concert tradition. Rendered here in English, the evening’s performance will take us through the story of the Nativity, sharing in the intimacy of the sleeping child, the pastoral joy of the shepherds, the jubilant song of the angels and the majestic arrival of the Magi.
