MENUA feast of lyrical and invigorating orchestral melodies featuring violinist Arabella Steinbacher, celebrated worldwide as one of today’s leading soloists, performing Tchaikovsky’s irresistible violin concerto.
Arabella Steinbacher is a sensational world class violinist who has gained critical acclaim across the globe for extraordinary virtuosity and exquisite tone. Originally described as unplayable, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto is one of the most popular violin concertos, famed for its virtuosity and melodic abundance. Composers Anna Clyne and Grace Evangeline Mason are both establishing enviable reputations as the new voice in British orchestral music today; their work is both exciting, accessible, colourful and fascinating balancing perfectly with the dramatic, autumnal lyrical sounds of Beethoven’s Egmont Overture and Brahms’ St Anthony Variations (also known as ‘Variations on a theme of Haydn’).
“A world class artist will always have the ability to thrill and move us… and Steinbacher is undoubtedly one of the finest violinists working today.” The Europadisc Team
