Another 2023 ‘first’ for Bath Bachfest is a performance by a viol consort, Fretwork. The players will be joined in their programme of Bach, Purcell, Handel, and Rameau by the Welsh soprano Ruby Hughes who has received particular acclaim for her sensitive interpretation of the music of the Baroque period.
