Due to unforeseen circumstances Jean Rondeau (director, harpsichord) is no longer available for the above concert. We are grateful to Francesco Corti (director, harpsichord) for stepping in as his replacement. An additional work has been announced - the programme will now be as below.

The festival will end on a high with The English Concert, renowned as one of the world’s leading period-instrument orchestras and always a great Bachfest favourite, giving an all-Bach performance in Bath’s beautiful Abbey.

The remarkable young keyboard player, Francesco Corti, will direct and play the harpsichord in an audience-pleasing programme including 3 Brandenburg Concerti, a harpsichord concerto and a rediscovered wind concerto for 2 oboes and bassoon.
