MENUUsing the story, the locations and the whisky itself in Ken Loach's film, The Angel's Share, Chris Scullion of Independent spirit of Bath has curated 5 different whiskies of Scotland for this very unique tasting. Sharing some of the stories behind these drams and the people who made them, it's the heart and soul of the single malts that inspired The Angel's Share.
About Mark Cosgrove
Mark has worked in the independent cinema sector for over 30 years. He is Cinema Curator at Watershed one of the UK’s leading independent cinemas and founder of the Cinema Rediscovered festival dedicated to restorations and archive film.
He has championed British Independent, European and World cinema and curated seasons and touring programmes ranging from Japanese and Portuguese Cinemas to retrospectives of French filmmaker Claire Denis, Austrian director Ulrich Seidl, Bristol born J. Lee Thompson and composer Bernard Herrmann.
In November 2010, Watershed was selected from among 1000 cinemas across 500 European cities to win the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' Europa Cinemas Award.
He represents Watershed in its role as Hub Lead Organisation for the South West as part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network (FAN) committed to supporting film exhibition and audience development with funds from the National Lottery.
About Independent Spirit
Established in Bath in 2013, Independent Spirit of Bath soon became Bath's destination retailer for specialist spirits, craft gins, beers and lots more. Offering tastings and events over the years to the people of Bath and beyond, they now are the south west's only bricks and mortar spirits training facility for the wine and spirit education trust.
