This play takes you on an insane, hilarious, and moving adventure, telling the extraordinary life story of Joseph Grimaldi, using his unique blend of melodrama, mime, song, and clowning.
Picture this: Grimaldi is ready to unveil his final show, aiming to share his life with the audience. Chaos ensues when the cast and set are waylaid by highwaymen outside Covent Garden, leaving Grimaldi and a panic-stricken Stage Manager to take on every role themselves. With only two musicians, still recovering from a wild night at the theatre, they embark on a riotous production. Believe it or not, every astonishing moment in the story they tell is based on true events!
This laugh-out-loud show is brought to life by a team of Bath's wittiest theatrical talent, featuring Jon Monie, Nik Howden, Jools Scott and Harry Miller, in the stunning Old Theatre Royal.
