MENUBefore the film we will be screening Banana Boat: Two holidaying mothers fight to the death over the last spot on a banana boat ride.
Laure Chalamy became a star as a result of Call My Agent, and since then, she has developed into one of France’s finest actors, and here she is teamed with director Caroline Vignal for a second time (they also made My Donkey, My Lover and I). Chalamy plays Iris, a successful dentist with everything she could want - apart from sex. Taking advice from a passing acquaintance, she starts to find online hook-up dates with a variety of men, looking for sexual gratification, which is inevitably a recipe for misunderstandings and embarrassment; not to mention having to cancel endless appointments with her dental patients. It’s a light hearted and undemanding French comedy - and let’s face it, they’re always welcome.
SYNOPSIS:
Iris has a seemingly flawless husband, two wonderful daughters, a dental practice with a relentless stream of customers, a nice apartment in an area she loves, friends who understand her... And she'll soon be 50. And then a stranger plants a seed in her head: "Take a lover". Iris opens Pandora's box and candidates emerge as if from nowhere - as if it were raining men.
